WA and ID Performance Path Updates Scheduled for April 1, 2022

REMINDER: Washington and Idaho Performance Path: Northwest Modeling Requirements V22.0 Effective April 1, 2022

To align with other regional utility programs, the updated Northwest Modeling Requirements V22.0 go into effect on Friday April 1, 2022. The updated Northwest Modeling Requirements for 2022 is now available here: https://betterbuiltnw.com/resources/northwest-modeling-requirements-v22-0-rem-rate-v16-0-6.

The major update in V22.0 is the requirement to now use REM/Rate V16.0.6. This version of REM/Rate allows for improved compatibility to use one model for Performance Path and other programs, such as federal tax credits.

For complete details on all the updates in V22.0, including improved modeling guidance, refer to page 4 for a summary of updates in NW Modeling Requirements V22.0 compared to the previous V21.1

Please note:

  • The 2021 UDRHs for Washington and Idaho that went into effect last year (to align with code changes) are still valid and referenced in the Northwest Modeling Requirements V22.0. No changes were made to the 2021 UDRHs and they are compatible with REM/Rate V16.0.6.
  • Performance Path Raters should continue to enter homes in AXIS to “Utility Incentive V3 – Single Family Performance Path”. Starting April 1, 2022, the V3 program in AXIS will only accept REM/Rate V16.0.6.

If you have any questions or difficulty, contact your local Performance Path utility, the BetterBuiltNW team - info@betterbuiltnw.com, or submit an AXIS Help Ticket.
