HRVs and ERVs for high-performance homes

Balanced ventilation systems are designed to improve indoor air quality by bringing in fresh air and exhausting stale air. Heat recovery ventilators (HRVs) and energy recovery ventilators (ERVs) also recover heat and energy from the outgoing air, thus improving energy efficiency in the process. Including an HRV or ERV in a home’s design supports high energy performance and code compliance, provides efficient ventilation and improves indoor air quality in tightly sealed homes. Learn more about the benefits of HRVs and ERVs, and how to incorporate them into your home designs. Learn more.
