Habitat for Humanity: Bend/Redmond projects

In 2020, the central Oregon affiliate Bend-Redmond Habitat for Humanity began building at the NW Cottages, which was followed by the 27th Street Townhomes build in January 2023. During the build of the 900 sq. ft. homes at NW Cottages and the 1,150 sq. ft. homes at the 27th Street Townhomes, several methods and materials were used to make each unit as energy efficient as possible. Methods included installing above-code insulation in ceilings, walls, and floors, ductless heat pumps for heating and cooling, heat pump water heaters, and high-performance windows.
