Northwest EcoBuilding Guild Pretty Good House.

Join the Northwest EcoBuilding Guild for an education session titled Pretty Good House.

In a world of minimum building codes it turns out a Pretty Good House is a very darn good house. Finding a happy medium between Passive House and code built is a sweet spot and some basic guidelines to consider in your design. Dan Kolbert, a leader in this movement, tells us about basic criteria and philosophy.

The idea for "Pretty Good House" grew out of Building Science discussion group in Portland Maine and generated many great articles in Fine Home Building and Green Building Advisor. Brian Cowan of Carlisle Classic Homes and Andy Mroczek of Dyna Builders discuss the pretty good projects they have done.
